SLOVAK PM CONVENES SECURITY COUNCIL DUE TO THREAT OF ‘MAIDAN’ -Fico says there is a group of foreigners involved in the Maidan in Slovakia”

Prime Minister Robert Fico announced the convening of the Slovak Security Council, citing concerns that a group of foreign experts who were previously involved in organizing the overthrows of the Ukraine and Georgia governments are carrying out operations in Slovakia.

The Slovak head of government has scheduled an emergency meeting of the Slovak Security Council for today.

Fico claims his opposition is attempting sabotage. After the opposition refused to vote, Robert Fico survived an unsuccessful attempt to pass a vote of no confidence in the government on Tuesday, 21 January.

Fico confirmed during a press conference that Slovakia has a group of experts who participated in the events in Georgia and who actively participated in the Maidan in Ukraine, further adding that the group is funded from various sources and that all preventive measures will be taken to prevent this from happening.
