PRIME MINISTER SUNAK SAYS AT LEAST 6 BRITISH CITIZENS KILLED IN ISRAEL – A “pogrom” – a riot incited with the aim of massacring a religious group
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said at least six UK citizens had been killed after Hamas militants attacked Israel nine days ago, characterising the incident as a “pogrom.”
In a statement in parliament, Sunak said the British government is increasing its aid to the Palestinian people by a third with 10 million pounds ($12.18 million) more in support.
Sunak said that he supported absolutely Israel’s right to defend itself, to go after Hamas, take back hostages and strengthen its long-term security, in line with international law and minimising civilian deaths
