But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds {and} display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light” (1 Peter 2:9). The Bible says you are God’s own purchased, special person.

In other words, you’re God’s best! The reason you look at yourself small is that you don’t know who you are; you haven’t seen yourself in the mirror of God’s Word. To understand your value, you must contemplate the cost of your salvation. To see your price tag you must look at the cross of Calvary. That’s where you’ll see the magnitude of the price that was paid for you and then you’d know who you really are. You’re as valuable to God as the price He willingly paid for you. John 3:16 says,

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son…” If He loved you enough to give the life of His Son for your sake, then you’re as valuable to Him as Jesus is. God loves you and nothing can separate you from His love (Romans 8:35-39), not even sin. “For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, it is much more [certain], now that we are reconciled, that we shall be saved (daily delivered from sin’s dominion) through His [resurrection]life” (Romans 5:10 AMP).

Sin can no longer separate you from God’s love; the problem of sin has been dealt with. When you’re confident of God’s love you’ll never be afraid of anything. You’ll become confident, knowing that you’re propped up on either side by the power of the Holy Spirit. You’ll be able to go through life winning in spite of the surrounding situations.
