Amazon has promised 500 extra permanent jobs at its new centre in Doncaster.
The positions include managers, engineers, HR and IT roles for the warehouse, which handles customers’ orders.
The new site is due to open next year and will be Amazon’s third in Doncaster.
It means it will have more than 1,000 full-time employees in the city by the end of next year.
News of the posts follow the company’s announcement that it expects to create 3,500 permanent jobs across the UK during this year.
This will take Amazon’s total number of full-time permanent employees to 15,500.
Amazon has previously faced questions over pay and conditions in its warehouses.
But it said that the new employees would receive a “comprehensive benefits package”.
These include private medical insurance, a pension plan and subsidised meals.
The employees will start on £7.35 an hour or more, which will increase over the first two years of their employment, the company said.
