ZELENSKIY MEETS BRITISH DEFENCE SECRETARY IN KYIV Britain this year supplied Storm Shadow cruise missiles

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy met British Defence Secretary Grant Shapps in Kyiv and discussed how to bolster the country’s air defences, the president’s office said.

At the meeting Shapps and Zelenskiy discussed beefing up air defenses in Ukraine amid fears that Russia will use long-range missiles and drones to target critical energy infrastructure in the depths of winter, a statement released by the president’s office said.

Britain this year supplied Storm Shadow cruise missiles that have allowed Ukraine to conduct long-range strikes on targets in Russian-occupied territory.

Ukraine’s intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov and British Chief of the Defence Staff Tony Radakin were also present at the meeting
