The Global Youth Leaders’ Conference made its most recent stop in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with an edition tagged ‘the Opportunity of Leadership’, which was targeted at young leaders in the Middle East and Asia Region. Delegates were in attendance from Oman, Qatar, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India, Philippines, United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.
The GYLF Coordinator for the UAE, Graced Peters, welcomed the delegates and prepared their hearts for the message from the host Pastor of Christ Embassy UAE, Pastor Joseph Akinwolemiwa. Pastor Joseph charged the youths to use their imagination; he cited the life of David as a viable example and admonished them to take ownership of the vision and be vitally involved in leading others to this glorious life in Christ.
There were several exciting ministrations in songs and poetry, as well as talk shows and forums. In a special talk show on leadership and its responsibilities, Sydney Fernandes (Regional Leader of GYLF Asia) and other panelists talked about different factors that may pose a challenge to young people and how to overcome those challenges.
The conference ended in joy and celebration, and the delegates attested that they have been catapulted to higher realms of glory. Paveena from Sri Lanka said, “I am so excited that such a program held in Dubai. I am glad that I was a part of it.”
