A four-year-old boy was among five people killed in a collision between a minibus and a car on a road in Scotland. TSB has said it made a loss of £107.4m in the first six months of the year following its notorious IT meltdown. RAF Typhoons have been scrambled to intercept a Russian bomber plane flying near NATO airspace over the Black Sea. Sky has reported a rise in annual revenues, profits and customer numbers, and sought to underline its growth prospects as a £26bn bidding war between two American suitors approaches its conclusion. Japan has executed the last six members of a Japanese doomsday cult who killed 13 people in a sarin attack on Tokyo’s subway.
