UK’S PARTNERSHIP PIVOTAL TO ADDRESS HOUTHIS ATTACKS – Lloyd also thanked Shapps for the UK’s leadership on the crisis
The UK’s partnership with the U.S. to address the Houthi’s attacks against military vessels and commercial shipping in the Red Sea is pivotal, U.S. Secretary of Defense Austin Lloyd said during a meeting with UK’s Defense Minister Grant Shapps at the Pentagon.
Lloyd also thanked Shapps for the UK’s leadership on the crisis in Israel and Gaza, adding that both countries believe that Israel should avoid harming Palestinian civilians and that the people of Gaza need more humanitarian assistance.
