TRUMP CONFIRMS ‘US AIRSTRIKE AGAINST AL-QAEDA IN SYRIA- says Justice has been dealt to another Jihadi threatening America
U.S President Donald Trump said U.S. forces conducted a precision airstrike against a member of al-Qaeda in Syria this weekend.
“The terrorist leader was working with al-Qaeda across the region. Congratulations to CENTCOM Commander Gen. Michael Kurilla, and the US warfighters who dealt Justice to another Jihadi threatening America and our allies and partners,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.
The U.S. military said that it eliminated a senior official of an al Qaeda affiliate during an airstrike in northwest Syria the day before.
U.S. Central Command described the person in a statement as a “senior finance and logistics official in the terrorist organization Hurras al-Din.” It offered no additional details about the strike.
U.S. forces have targeted Hurras al-Din officials as part of an effort to disrupt the militant group.
