TRUMP, BIDEN SPAR OVER GOLF, COGNITIVE TEST SCORES Democratic President Joe Biden delivered a shaky performance at the debate

Democratic President Joe Biden delivered a shaky performance at Thursday’s (27 June) debate while his Republican rival Donald Trump battered him with a series of attacks, as the two oldest presidential candidates ever exchanged deeply personal insults ahead of November’s U.S. election.

Biden and Trump, 78, were pressured to display their fitness for office. Biden has been dogged by questions about his age and sharpness, while Trump’s incendiary rhetoric and legal woes remain a vulnerability.

Trump claimed under his presidency the economy was good and “everything was “rocking” and said he would end the war in Ukraine before he took office.

They both traded barbs on their golf games and cognitive tests on Thursday’s (27 June) presidential debate as they each sought to put to rest concerns over their health and age.

At one point, the rivals bickered over their golf games, with Trump bragging about hitting the ball farther than Biden and Biden retorting that Trump would struggle to carry his own bag.

Biden, 81, and former president Trump, 78, are the oldest candidates ever to seek the presidency and viewers are sure to question their cognitive abilities and emotional steadiness.
