All trains to and from London’s Waterloo were cancelled this morning causing major disruption for commuters.
The disruption was caused by over-running engineering work.
All lines have now reopened, but due to a backlog in services normal timetables are not expected to resume until at least later on today.
South West Rail apologised to travellers for the disruption.
“Services are being delayed due to over-running engineering work, sorry for the inconvenience this causes you this morning.”
