NEW COINS FOR 2024 HAVE BEEN UNVEILED BY THE ROYAL MINT – The coins celebrate life savers, sports and Churchill
New British coins for 2024 have been unveiled by The Royal Mint.
50p, £2 and £5 coins have all been created to mark special occasions, including the 200-year anniversaries of both the National Gallery in London and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), as well as 150 years since the birth of former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
A 50p coin celebrating TeamGB and ParalympicsGB also marks the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games, which are set to take place in Paris.
The coins will become available for purchase from January 2 from The Royal Mint, based in Wales
