Celebrating Africa Day in Zimbabwe yesterday, May 25, FALA ( Future African Leaders Award ) 2014 Winners, Tinofara Mtuwa and Lesley Ndebele, collaborated to host the program, ‘I Am The Future,’ designed to inspire young people to take up responsibility for sustainable change and development in their communities.

The atmosphere from the onset was charged with youthful exuberance and soul-stirring ministrations in music, exciting spoken word and hip-hop, all in line with the day’s significance. A special talk show emphasized the importance of utilizing the Internet and BLW ministry platforms such as Yookos, to take a hold of the future. Bro. Tinofara moderated a debate on the role of youths in shaping the future of the continent.

The high note for the program was when the FALA Winners held seminars. Bro. Lesley presented on ‘Impacting My World with Relevance,’ inspiring the youths to make decisions based on the word of God and be passionate in their desire for change. Bro. Tinofara tacked the subject, ‘Taking Up Responsibilities in My Community,’ drawing from Pastor Chris’ message, ‘7 Challenges to Winning the Fight of Faith.’

Profound practical solutions to individual challenges were also addressed as the attendees were given an opportunity to ask questions. The program concluded with fun-filled, Christ-conscious declarations.
