HAG HONOURED AT FWA AWARDS – Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag received the honour in recognition of United’s FA Cup success last season
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag was honoured at a Football Writers’ Association (FWA) awards dinner from the FWA Northern branch in recognition of their FA Cup success last season.
Last May, United claimed a 2-1 victory over Manchester City in the FA Cup final, as they ended their campaign with silverware after a tough season.
On Saturday, Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund got on the scoresheet as ten Hag’s side bounced back after conceding a controversial goal to beat Brentford 2-1 at Old Trafford for their first victory in more than a month.
The win meant United climbed to 10th in the Premier League standings on 11 points after eight matches, and eased some of the pressure on ten Hag, whose job has been the subject of media speculation.
