The Duke of Cambridge, Britain’s Prince William, visited Christchurch’s al Noor mosque where over 40 people were killed on March 15 when a lone gunman opened fire on worshippers.

The prince spoke to survivors of his own grief, pain and loss and told of his shock when hearing the news of the attack, adding that he stood by New Zealand and Christchurch.

The suspected white supremacist from Australia has been charged with 50 counts of murder over the shootings on March 15 and will next appear in court in June.
