Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced that he will be listing cartels as terrorists and reinforcing the border after negotiation talks with U.S president Donald Trump
Trudeau in a social media post said President Donald Trump has agreed to a 30 day pause on proposed tariffs on Canadian imports .
Trudeau also said Canada has pledged to create the post of a special czar to combat the smuggling of fentanyl and would launch a Canada- U.S. Joint Strike Force to combat organized crime, fentanyl and money laundering
Trudeau says Canada is implementing a $1.3 billion border plan — to stop the flow of fentanyl, adding that nearly 10,000 frontline personnel will be assigned to protect the border.
“Proposed tariffs will be paused for at least 30 days while we work together,” Trudeau said. Trump had earlier agreed a 30-day exception for tariffs he said he would slap on Mexico.
Trump has affirmed that the Tariffs will be paused for a 30 day period to see whether or not a final Economic deal with Canada can be structured.”
