The bustling French port city of Marseille is bracing itself for a wave of activity as it prepares to host thousands of football fans during the Euro 2016 soccer tournament.
France’s second largest city will host six matches, including one quarter-final and one semi-final, at its Velodrome stadium, the country’s second-biggest, which can hold 67,000 visitors.
The Euro 2016 tournament will be held from June 10 through July 10 with 24 teams from across Europe competing for the title, last won by Spain in 2012.
France expects 2.5 million spectators in its stadiums, and billions of viewers on TV.
