The late hours of December 6th into the early hours of the global celebration of the LoveWorld President’s birthday on December 7th avails senior Pastors and staff members an opportunity to express their gratitude to the celebrant, Reverend (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome.

A highlight of the all-night celebration is the Celebrity Chef Contest, a fun competition in honor of the man of God, Pastor Chris, where senior ministers challenge one another for the title of Top Chef in the LoveWorld Nation. This year’s edition of the competition was a Couples’ Classic that saw men and women of global influence entertaining Pastor Chris, the chief judge in the competition, with their culinary skills.

The esteemed Zonal Pastor of UK Zone 1, Pastor Tony Obi, and his wife, Pastor Georgine, made up #TeamSparkle, while the esteemed Campus Ministry Director, Pastor Chike Ume, and his wife, Pastor Chioma, were #TeamDazzle. #TeamSparkle won the competition, succeeded by #TeamDazzle, after playful teasing and competitive banter between the couples on KIngsChat.

Award-winning Gospel artiste, Sinach, and her husband, Brother Joseph Egbu, were also in the competition under the name, #TeamGlamour, while Pastor Razvan and Sister Lidia of River of Life Church, Hungary, made up #TeamGlitter.

The contest filled the heart of the celebrant and every guest present with light humor, joy and laughter, even as thousands around the world participated via LoveWorld Networks and the CeFLIX platform. The costume party also included the Lip Sync Battle between senior Pastors, dance competitions and a parade of costumes by staff of different ministry departments.
