JASMINE CAMACHO-QUINN broke down in tears after winning a gold medal for the 100m hurdles in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Jasmine Camacho-Quinn saw success at Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games today as she earned herself a gold medal. She won Puerto Rico’s first medal of this year’s games with the 100m hurdles. Her victory was an emotional one and Jasmine broke down in tears when being interviewed by the BBC. After watching the tearful athlete, Olympic Breakfast presenter Dan Walker praised the “beautiful interview”.
Jasmine was interviewed after securing herself a gold medal in the 100m hurdles and revealed how much the win meant to her.
“I don’t know how to explain it right now, but it just… it really does mean a lot,” the athlete explained.
“I just came here and I won a gold medal and that means a lot.”
After watching the emotional interview, Olympic Breakfast presenter Dan remarked: “Well if you ever want to know what it means, that’s what it means.
