Honduras’ President Juan Orlando Hernandez, met with Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over a possible embassy move for the Central American nation to Jerusalem.
The two leaders met in Brazil at the sidelines of the inauguration of Brazil’s new far-right President Jair Bolsonaro.
According to local media, Honduras is prepared to move its embassy to Jerusalem, following the United States and Guatemala.
In response to a possible move, Israel has expressed its willingness to upgrade its diplomatic mission in Honduras.
