Niger State Government welcomes humanitarian assistance for flood victims from Chris Oyakhilome Foundation.
Member agencies of the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation, which includes the InnerCity Mission for Children, Volunteer Medical Corp and Bible for all Missions, sent delegates on a courtesy call to the Executive Governor of Niger State at the State Government House in Minna, Nigeria, to kickstart the Hope Relief Mission Project.
The team was warmly received by Deputy Governor, Alhaji Mohammed Ketso, who represented the Executive Governor, members of the State Executive Council and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA). Both parties discussed the devastation caused by the flood disaster in the state, as well as rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts of the government and the areas of need where humanitarian organizations like the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation can assist in rebuilding the lives of the people that have been affected by the disaster.
The leader of the delegation, esteemed Pastor Victor Nosegbe, informed the State Executives about the global reach and impact of the unique and multifaceted ministry of the man of God, Reverend (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome. The state was informed of the services that the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation would offer to the flood victims in the state, adding that Niger State is the first beneficiary state among states affected by the recent flood disaster in Nigeria.
In his response, the Deputy Governor expressed the government’s readiness to support the foundation’s efforts in rehabilitating affected and displaced persons. He further expressed the deep and profound appreciation of the government and good people of Niger State for the benevolence and kind-heartedness of the man of God, Pastor Chris.
State Government officials received copies of the Rhapsody Bible and other ministry materials as gifts from the man of God. There was also a symbolic handover of the relief items to be distributed. The meeting concluded with words of prayer and blessings offered for peace, progress and unprecedented development of Niger State by Pastor Sam Bala of Christ Embassy Minna.
