Police will no longer be stationed outside the Ecuadorean embassy in London where Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has sought refuge since 2012, the Met Police has said. US computer giant Dell has agreed a deal to buy data storage company EMC for $67bn (£44bn). EMC shareholders will receive $33.15 per share, $24.05 of which will be in cash. If approved by regulators, the deal would be the biggest in history between two technology companies. A new study has warned that a third of all men currently under the age of 20 in China will eventually die prematurely if they do not give up smoking. The research, published in The Lancet medical journal, says two-thirds of men in China now start to smoke before 20. Around half of those men will die from the habit, it concludes.
