Donald Trump has praised emergency services for their “incredible” work after visiting some of those wounded in the mass school shooting in Florida. Uber saw annual losses balloon to $4.5bn (£3.2bn) last year though its performance improved in the final quarter of 2017, the ride-hailing app revealed. The EU economy grew at its fastest rate in 10 years in 2017, registering a 2.5% increase on the year before. It is the highest annual growth since 2007, when the economy expanded by 2.7%. London City Airport has been closed after an unexploded Second World War bomb was found in the River Thames. Police were called to the scene at the George V Dock, North Woolwich, just after 5am on Sunday. The ordnance had been discovered as part of pre-planned work that was taking place at the airport.
