BOEING AND GOOGLE CONTRIBUTE $1M TO TRUMP’S INAUGURATION – Other contributors include Chevron and tech firms Meta, Amazon, and Uber
US aviation giant Boeing has confirmed that it has contributed $1 million (approximately £812,600) to President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration fund. Similarly, Google has announced an equal donation, joining a growing list of major American corporations supporting the event.
Other contributors include oil giant Chevron and tech firms Meta, Amazon, and Uber.
The inauguration, marking the start of Trump’s second term, is scheduled for January 20. Boeing emphasized its commitment to bipartisan support, noting it has made similar contributions to the last three presidential inaugural committees.
The company, currently navigating safety and quality control challenges alongside losses from a recent strike, is also constructing the next presidential aircraft, Air Force One. The planes, expected to enter service as early as next year, were subject to renegotiations during Trump’s first term, as he criticized the original deal as overly expensive.
Google, the latest tech firm to back the event, will also stream the inauguration live on YouTube and promote it via its homepage. “Google is pleased to support the 2025 inauguration,” said Karan Bhatia, the company’s global head of government affairs and public policy.
Automakers Ford, General Motors, and Toyota have also pledged $1 million each to the inaugural committee.
