Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge gave a group of children a guided tour of her woodland wilderness garden designed for London’s Chelsea Flower Show.
Also known as Kate, the Duchess joined in the cooking and eating of marshmallows over a campfire with her young companions as well as climbing in and out of a tree house which she designed as part of the garden.
Co-created with landscape artists Andree Davies and Adam White, Kate’s “Back to Nature Garden” includes a rope swing and a stream with waterfall.
Kate, wife of Prince William, is a strong advocate in the mental and physical benefits that nature and the outdoors have on children and adults.
The Chelsea Flower Show, which is open to the press and guests on Monday and to the public from Tuesday – May 21, is the most prestigious event in Britain’s gardening calendar and runs until May 25th.
