11 CABINET MINISTERS LOSE SEAT AT GENERAL ELECTION – Conservative Party suffer a huge loss in general election

Former Prime Minister Liz Truss has lost her seat of South West Norfolk by 640 votes to the Labour candidate, Terry Jermy. Mr Jermy won 11,847 votes, with Ms Truss following closely with 11, 217
Defence Minister Grant Shapps, who had served as the Welwyn Hatfield constituency MP since 2005, lost to Andrew Lewin of Labour Party, having secured 16,078 votes compared to 19,877 votes
Penny Mordaunt, leader of the lower house of parliament, lost her parliamentary seat in Portsmouth North Constituency to Labour’s Amanda Martin.
Education Secretary Gillian Keegan,lost to Liberal Democrats in Chichester,Ms Keegan secured 13,368 compared to 25,540 for the Liberal Democrats candidate Jess Brown-Fuller.
Former Justice Secretary Sir Robert Buckland, lost his parliamentary seat in Swindon south to Labour candidate Heidi Alexander
Chief Whip Simon Hart lost his Carmarthen seat to Plaid Cymru in another major blow for the Tories.
